Care That Puts Children First.
Little Hearts Nursing & Ability Care is a paediatric-focused nursing and disability support provider dedicated to supporting children and their families with care that is professional, consistent and deeply personal.
Our Story
How Little Hearts Began.
Little Hearts Nursing & Ability Care was founded after recognising a recurring challenge faced by families. Many were being linked with disability services that supported all ages, often without the specialist skills, understanding or passion required to care for children.
Too often, families shared concerns about inconsistent staffing and support workers who lacked experience or confidence in paediatric care.
We knew there was a better way.
Little Hearts was created to provide a dedicated alternative. By supporting only paediatric participants, we ensure every child is cared for by professionals who understand childhood development, medical complexity and the importance of trust, familiarity and gentle communication.
Our approach is intentionally small, thoughtful and relationship-led.
Why We Do What We Do.
We believe children deserve care that feels safe, respectful and genuinely supportive. Families deserve services they can trust.
Caring for a child with additional needs can be complex and emotionally demanding. Our role is to ease that pressure by providing reliable, professional support that integrates seamlessly into family life.
We take the time to listen, understand and work collaboratively with families so supports are not just effective, but meaningful and sustainable.
Our Values
Helping your child feel confident, supported & understood.
At Little Hearts, we provide nursing and disability supports that help children feel safe, supported and understood, while giving families confidence and peace of mind.
We believe children thrive best when care is consistent, respectful and delivered by people who truly understand them.
Child-Centred Care
Every decision we make is guided by what is best for the child. We tailor supports to suit each child’s needs, personality and stage of development.
Consistency & Trust
We prioritise consistency by assigning small, dedicated teams to each child. This helps build strong relationships, trust and a sense of familiarity.
Professional Excellence
Our team includes registered nurses and experienced support workers who are skilled in paediatric care and committed to maintaining high clinical and ethical standards.
Compassion & Respect
We approach every family with empathy, patience and respect. Care is always delivered with dignity and understanding.
Collaboration with Families
We work closely with families, recognising parents and carers as experts in their child’s needs. Open communication is central to everything we do.

Our family has been extremely lucky and grateful for the love and care Virginia has for our little girl for over 5 years. Our precious girl who was severely disabled and ill was cared for with so much love and joy.
Having a registered nurse who specialises in paediatrics, we knew our princess would always be safe. Virginia was trained to perform all medical procedures our girl needed – not only being the nurse for Eve, she laughed, played, painted, played dress up, read and mucked around just like a sister and mum would.
Virginia has become a part of our family. She wasn’t just a nurse, she adored Eve and we adored Virginia.
We highly highly recommend Little Hearts. You will know your child is safe in the most loving hands.

We found a lot of comfort leaving my daughter who has CP and dystonia with Gin at Little Hearts. It was important to us to have someone with a medical background, even better a nurse.
Gin and my daughter have a lovely relationship, she is always happy to see her.
My husband and I are so thankful that Gin and her team provide such great care and we can truly rest easy and have time to relax.
